BEGINNER BABY SIGN LANGUAGE
The fun is contagious in this structured but playful course that teaches you and your baby beginner American Sign Language (ASL). All the signing basics will be covered as we learn new songs and rhymes each class to create better communication and bonding between you and your baby. This class is best-suited for parents & caregivers ready to learn sign language to then teach their pre-verbal/verbal little ones at home. Weekly worksheets with signs and songs are provided.
BABY SING & SIGN
For families who are familiar with signing already or want to learn how to sing and sign together using American Sign Language, come join Lee Ann for playful songs and helpful vocabulary for boosting communication. We'll touch base with our basics and then continue learning signs and songs with new themes like playing, sharing, health & hygiene, animals and more. These classes are best suited to families already feeling comfortable with signing and want more practice and new vocabulary.
Both classes are for both parents and babies to participate together! :)

MEET LEE ANN :
"I am a local Vancouver, B.C. mom who put my background as a preschool teacher, recreation centre class programmer, and parent of two together with my personal love of sign language. After teaching my first child American Sign Language, I realized the incredible potential of being able to communicate easily with my young daughter before she could talk at all. She was a fussy, colicky baby, and I was a tired, frustrated mom who desperately wanted to know how to help her feel better. Finding a way to communicate became my first objective, and signing worked. She responded to my daily signing at 7 months old, and we never looked back. By 15 months she could sign 40 words. A strong desire to share this tool with others saw the creation of Signing Babies, an easy-to-follow program involving beginner ASL signs while singing, rhyming, and playing together. I teach baby sign language classes for families because I feel passionately about how well sign language works, and how much successful communicationaffects the happiness of both little ones and their caregivers. Everyone wants to be understood."
