BEGINNER BABY SIGN LANGUAGE (Ages 0-15m)

The fun is contagious in these in-person parent and tot signing classes! We’ll look at how to start signing effectively and easily, and learn the best basic vocabulary to start signing together. These Beginner classes are ideal for parents & caregivers that are new to learning American Sign Language with their pre-verbal/verbal little ones at home. Weekly printable resources with signs and songs are provided.
$100 / four 30-minute classes + 1 hour play time*
*Included in these classes is 1 hour of play time in the play space before class, or can be split into 30 minutes before class and 30 minutes after class. Please note: playtime must be used on class days before or after class, no exceptions

BABY SING & SIGN (Age 0-15m)

We continue to practice our basic signs while adding new helpful vocabulary for life with little ones in playful sing-along classes. These classes are ideal for families already familiar with basic signs and how to sign, but are open to all signing levels. We will highlight signs for Animals & Pets, Manners, and Family Members. Weekly printable resources with signs and songs are provided.

MEET LEE ANN :
"I am a local Vancouver, B.C. mom who put my background as a preschool teacher, recreation centre class programmer, and parent of two together with my personal love of sign language. After teaching my first child American Sign Language, I realized the incredible potential of being able to communicate easily with my young daughter before she could talk at all. She was a fussy, colicky baby, and I was a tired, frustrated mom who desperately wanted to know how to help her feel better. Finding a way to communicate became my first objective, and signing worked. She responded to my daily signing at 7 months old, and we never looked back. By 15 months she could sign 40 words. A strong desire to share this tool with others saw the creation of Signing Babies, an easy-to-follow program involving beginner ASL signs while singing, rhyming, and playing together. I teach baby sign language classes for families because I feel passionately about how well sign language works, and how much successful communicationaffects the happiness of both little ones and their caregivers. Everyone wants to be understood."
